Mighty Lift ML55HB Premium Hand Brake Pallet Jack

The Mighty Lift ML55HB is built for the loads that make a standard jack feel unsafe — heavy, top-stacked, or unevenly distributed pallets that want to roll the moment you tilt them. It moves 5,500 lbs on 27" x 48" forks, and its defining feature is a hand brake: squeeze the parking brake and the unit locks in place, so the load stays put while you reposition, hand-stack, or step away. Engaged, the brake works like a built-in pallet jack stop.

Like any manual pallet jack, the ML55HB runs on a hydraulic hand pump — here a corrosion-resistant galvanized, one-piece pump with overload protection and German-made seals rated to 60,000 cycles. A cushioned descending mechanism lowers the forks without the sudden drop that tilts loads and damages product. Two accessories extend it further: a Metal Foot Guard (PFG) and a Pallet Jack Stop (PJS101).

What does the hand brake do?

Engaging the parking brake immobilizes the jack so it will not roll. That keeps heavy or unstable loads steady while you load, unload, or step away — the engaged brake acts like a built-in pallet jack stop.

Will it handle a standard 48-inch pallet?

The forks measure 27" across the pair and 48" long, the standard footprint for handling 48-inch pallets, with 14.37" between the forks.

How low do the forks go?

Forks lower to 2.9" to enter a pallet and raise to 7.6" to clear the floor for transport.
