The truck is rated at a 24-inch load center with a 185-inch maximum lift height and 37.9-inch free lift. Mast overall height collapsed is 86.2 inches; overall height with forks fully lifted reaches 234 inches. Service weight is 10,967 lb; overall length without forks measures 108 inches and overall width is 50.5 inches. Maximum travel speed is 11 mph loaded and 12.1 mph unloaded.
EKKO has engineered the operator station to keep the driver supported through long outdoor shifts. The overhead guard is enlarged and heightened, with large arc-shaped front legs that widen the field of view from the seat. A multifunctional suspended seat carries the operator’s weight, dampens vibration from rough yard surfaces, and balances against side loading. The steering column carries an adjustment mechanism within easy reach so operators of different heights can position the wheel without leaving the seat.

EKKO addresses one of the common complaints about diesel forklift operation directly: noise. The EK35D uses an impedance composited muffler that drops sound output over the cycle — meaningful for operators on full-shift duty and for facilities adjacent to noise-sensitive zones.
The truck rolls on solid pneumatic tires — 28x9-15-12PR drive wheels and 6.50-10-10PR steer wheels. Solid pneumatics combine the tread profile of pneumatic tires (grip on uneven outdoor surfaces) with the puncture immunity of solid construction (no air loss, no flat-tire downtime in a yard where nails and screws are part of the floor). Service braking is a hydraulic floor pedal, the layout the operator already knows from automotive driving.
EKKO Lifts manufactures the EK35D at its facility in Pomona, California, and backs it with the EKKO Advantage Warranty: three-year frame, fork, and mast coverage (or 6,000 hours, whichever comes first) and two-year engine coverage (or 4,000 hours). Can the EK35D be used indoors?
Diesel forklifts are generally designed for outdoor use — yards, lumber operations, construction sites, and loading docks. Indoor use of diesel equipment is restricted in most jurisdictions because of exhaust emissions, even with Tier 4 compliance. If you need indoor lift capability, an LPG or electric forklift is the right choice. The EK35D is best matched to outdoor yards, paved aprons, and well-ventilated covered structures.
Is the EK35D emissions-compliant?
Yes. The Mitsubishi 4EG diesel engine is certified to Tier 4 EPA emissions standards, which is the current US federal compliance level for non-road diesel engines in this displacement class.
What does “solid pneumatic” mean for the tires?
Solid pneumatic tires have the same tread shape and outer dimensions as standard pneumatic tires, but the inside is solid molded rubber instead of an air-filled chamber. The result is grip on uneven outdoor surfaces (gravel, broken asphalt, lumber yards) without the flat-tire risk that air-filled pneumatics carry. Useful for yards where punctures are routine.
