The EKKO EK16A-189Li is a three-wheel 3,500 lb capacity lithium-ion electric forklift built for tight indoor work — loading docks, stock rooms, manufacturing floors, and warehouses on flat concrete. The three-wheel configuration uses a single steer wheel at the rear and dual drive wheels at the front, which trades the cornering stability of a four-wheel truck for a tighter turning circle in narrow aisles.
Power comes from a 24V / 200Ah lithium-ion battery paired with a Zapi® controller and an AC drive motor. The 3.3 kW lift motor handles the full 189-inch maximum lift with a 31.5-inch free lift. Lithium chemistry brings the operational advantages buyers cross-shop for: opportunity charging without memory effect, no acid maintenance, no equalize cycle, and a longer cycle life than the lead-acid configurations these trucks used to ship with.

Can the EK16A-189Li be used outdoors?
No. The EK16A-189Li is a cushion-tire electric forklift configured for indoor use on flat surfaces. Cushion tires lose traction on gravel, asphalt seams, and wet outdoor surfaces, and the 6% laden gradeability is not designed for steep ramps or outdoor terrain.
Are the battery and charger included?
Yes. Both the 24V / 200Ah lithium-ion battery and the matching 24V / 50A charger ship with the forklift. Pricing is for the complete unit.
Why lithium-ion instead of lead-acid?
Lithium-ion chemistry is opportunity-chargeable — operators can plug in during breaks without harming battery life — and there is no acid maintenance, no equalize cycle, and no water topping. For multi-shift operations or facilities that want to skip the battery-swap room entirely, lithium is the right configuration. The trade-off is a higher up-front cost, recovered over the battery’s service life.
